The YMCA offers a variety of fitness challenges and workshops to help keep you motivated while you strive to meet your fitness goals.
Participating in our fitness challenges will help you create goals, increase accountability, and build relationships with others on this journey.
Our fitness workshops are designed to help you improve form, technique, or increase performance in specific areas.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE. At the Y, no one is denied service due to the inability to pay. Funds for Financial Assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. Learn more here!
If you are pre-qualified for Financial Assistance, please note that some of our programs have minimum fees in order to cover costs of materials and supplies. This fee may be higher depending on your amount of assistance.

Introduction to Strength Training for Women
Intro to Strength Training for Women
Are you ready to feel stronger, more empowered, and confident in the gym? Join our Intro to Strength Training for Women at the Y! This welcoming course is perfect for women of all fitness levels who want to explore strength training and discover the benefits of lifting weights. Strength training is essential for women, as it helps improve bone density, boosts metabolism, and enhances overall physical and mental well-being.
In this 4 session class, participants will gain hands-on experience with various tools such as free weights, machines, and barbells, while learning techniques for key exercises like squats, deadlifts, and presses. You will also have the opportunity to explore different areas of the Y, building confidence in your abilities. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today and take the first step toward lifelong strength and health!
Participants will meet Wednesdays at 10:30 Starting October 16.

Ironman in a Month
Participants have 30 days to complete the distances of an Ironman Triathlon: 2.4-mile swim (85 laps), 112 miles biking, and 26.2 miles walk/run.
There’s a dry version for those who prefer: 1200 meter Row, 112 mile biking, and 26.2 miles walk/run.
Participants will track progress on provided tracking sheet and receive a special Y Ironman sticker to display this accomplishment.
Y staff will reach out when you register to provide the tracking sheet.

Nutrition Holiday Meal Prep Workshop
Jami Altwies is health and wellness professional and CrossFit coach with a passion for helping people achieve their optimal health and fitness goals. With years of experience in the fitness industry, Jami has a deep understanding of nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being.
As a certified nutritionist, Jami specializes in creating personalized nutrition plans that are both effective and enjoyable.She believes that healthy eating should be sustainable and delicious, and she works closely with clients to find meal options that fit their lifestyle and preferences.
As a CrossFit coach and certified personal trainer, Jami is dedicated to helping clients develop strength, endurance, and functional fitness. She understands the importance of proper nutrition in supporting athletic performance and recovery.
In this seminar, Jami will share practical tips and strategies for preparing quick, easy, and healthy meals that will fuel your body and support your overall health and wellness goals.
