Participating in our fitness challenges will help you create goals, increase accountability, and build relationships with others on this journey.
Our fitness workshops are designed to help you improve form, technique, or increase performance in specific areas.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE. At the Y, no one is denied service due to the inability to pay. Funds for Financial Assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. Learn more here!

Arm Balance Workshop
Get ready to take your yoga practice to new heights!
Join our Yoga Arm Balance Workshop and learn the fundamentals of balancing on your hands and forearms. In this fun and supportive environment, you’ll discover how to build strength, confidence, and control. Kaila will guide you through step-by-step drills and sequences to help you master foundational arm balances like Crow Pose (Bakasana) and Side Crow (Parsvakonasana).

Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Workshop
Unlock better movement.
Limited mobility can hinder your workouts, increase your risk of injury, and stall your progress. Join us for a hands-on workshop focused on self-myofascial release (SMR) – a powerful technique to improve tissue health, boost performance, and support pain-free movement.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use massage balls and other tools to build a strong foundation in SMR. Discover how tools like foam rollers, lacrosse balls, and massage guns can increase blood flow, enhance tissue extensibility, and unlock your body’s full potential.

Spartan Training
Spartan training for both the Spartan Races and as a general fitness approach emphasizes functional fitness, building endurance, strength and agility through a variety of exercises and obstacle course training. It’s a holistic approach to fitness that prepares individuals for both physical and mental challenges. This 4 week course will help you build confidence to take on the Boise Spartan Races coming in August of 2025.
Mark Richins is a CrossFit Leve 3 Coach, SGX-L2, Spartan Obstacle Lead Instructor, and has completed over 100 Spartan races with multiple podium finishes in distances from Sprint to Ultra.

StrongHer: Next-Level Lifting for Women 40+

Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that leads you into a state of deep relaxation—where your body can rest, your mind can let go, and healing can begin.
