Races & Fun Runs
Treasure Valley Family YMCA Races & Fun Runs embody the Y’s cause by being available for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. They give adults, children, and families the ability to raise their spirits and their heartbeats through fun and competitive races.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE. At the Y, no one is denied service due to the inability to pay. Funds for Financial Assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. Learn more here!
If you are pre-qualified for Financial Assistance, please note that some of our programs have minimum fees in order to cover costs of materials and supplies. This fee may be higher depending on your amount of assistance.

Join us for the 2025 YMCA Halloween Run Presented By Micron
Trick out your costume and treat yourself to a ghoulish run! Choose from either the Monster Mile or Freaky 5k course and run (for your life)! Have fun, be creative, and win prizes for best costume! (Family Friendly is a Must!
Everyone participating in the YMCA Halloween Run receives a shirt and a medal
Packet Pick-Up: Packets will be available on Friday, Oct 24th from 3-7pm at Bandanna Running and Walking

Freaky 5K – 10:00AM (register HERE)
Monster Mile – 10:10AM
Holiday Food Drive: October is Hunger Awareness Month
Micron and the YMCA will be hosting a Holiday Canned Food Drive for The Idaho Foodbank with your help. Hunger exists in every county of Idaho and the United States.
Bring a few items to kick off this Food Drive, every item helps! Donation bins will be available at the run start area.

Harrison Classic Kid's Run
Run, Fun, Win! Everyone who participates in the YMCA Harrison Classic is a winner! Take a jog down Boise’s scenic Harrison Boulevard.
This one-mile kids run is all-inclusive and family-friendly. All participants will receive a t-shirt, medal, and healthy snack at the end of the race!
Sunday, October 5th
Kids are encouraged to run on their own. Parents are welcome to run or walk with their child if desired, registration for parents is not required.

Tobin Bolter Kid's Duathlon
Get ready to run, bike, and celebrate at the 9th Annual Tobin Bolter Memorial Kids Duathlon on Saturday, September 13, 2025!
Hosted by the Treasure Valley YMCA and Ada County, this exciting event invites young athletes to test their endurance and build confidence in a supportive, high-energy environment.
Designed for kids ages 3-12, the duathlon features race distances tailored to each age group, giving every child the chance to shine.
Families can enjoy a fun-filled day with opening ceremonies, thrilling races, and a special award ceremony to celebrate all participants.
Plus, there will be crafts, face painting, and delicious food to enjoy!
Join us in honoring the legacy of Deputy Tobin Bolter while inspiring the next generation to stay active, push their limits, and create lasting memories. Let’s race together for a stronger, healthier future!

YMCA Christmas Run (Adult 18+)
The YMCA Christmas Run
‘Tis the season to sparkle! Make this a December to remember with Santa, family, and friends at the YMCA Christmas Run!
Create a new tradition or continue a long-standing one! Celebrate the holiday season as a family by running or walking together. Brave the winter with the YMCA at the Christmas Run!
Join the festivities as Santa starts the race. Wear your holiday costumes for a chance to win the costume contest!
Enjoy the after race with a bagel from Blue Sky Bagels, a photo booth, and much more. Awards will be announced as soon as available in the Boise High School Cafeteria.
This years Christmas Run will take place on Saturday, December 20th
