Healthy habits stick when started at a young age. Our Youth Health & Well-being programs give kids all the tools and support necessary to create lasting foundations that will allow them to be confident, healthy, and happy.

ACRO (acrobatics 9-12yrs)
This introductory acrobatics class is designed to help kids build foundational strength, flexibility, and coordination in a safe and supportive environment. Students will learn basic acrobatic skills, such as forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and bridges, back walkovers, round off, and handsprings, emphasizing proper technique and body alignment. Instructors will guide students through fun warm-up exercises, stretching routines, and balance drills that build confidence and encourage teamwork.
No prior experience is needed, and all exercises will be tailored to each child’s ability level, ensuring a fun and accessible experience for everyone. This class is perfect for beginners who want to explore the basics of acrobatics while developing body awareness and building self-confidence.

Each week, students can enjoy an hour of high-energy gym games like Dodgeball, Spider Ball, Capture the Flag, and Line Tag, all facilitated by our experienced YMCA Youth Leadership Staff. They’ll also get to explore popular sports like basketball, soccer, hockey, and more.

This once or twice-a-week program is designed especially for youth.
Participants will focus on balance, agility, coordination, speed, stamina, endurance, flexibility, athleticism, and core strength using a variety of movements, including functional fitness a variety of movement and activities.
Class is held once or 2 times a week, (you choose!) Tuesday and/or Thursday and meet in the WMAC. Sessions run monthly.
Participants should wear comfortable clothes in which they can exercise and closed-toe fitness shoes.
Water bottles are required.

Youth Strength Training (Group, Ages 10-14)
Youth Strength Training is a 60 minute group session with Certified Personal Trainer where your child will learn safe usage of fitness equipment and proper etiquette on the fitness floor. This class is required for children 10-11 in order to exercise independently in designated fitness areas in the facility. While not required for children 12-14, it is highly encouraged.
Please note the Weight Room is restricted to members 15 years and older.
60 minute classes are held at 9:30am on the first Saturday of every month, unless the first Saturday is a holiday.
