Healthy habits stick when started at a young age. Our Youth Health & Well-being programs give kids all the tools and support necessary to create lasting foundations that will allow them to be confident, healthy, and happy.


FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE. At the Y, no one is denied service due to the inability to pay. Funds for Financial Assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. Learn more here!

If you are pre-qualified for Financial Assistance, please note that some of our programs have minimum fees in order to cover costs of materials and supplies. This fee may be higher depending on your amount of assistance.

ACRO (acrobatics 9-12yrs)

This introductory acrobatics class is designed to help kids build foundational strength, flexibility, and coordination in a safe and supportive environment. Students will learn basic acrobatic skills, such as forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and bridges, back walkovers, round off, and handsprings, emphasizing proper technique and body alignment. Instructors will guide students through fun warm-up exercises, stretching routines, and balance drills that build confidence and encourage teamwork.

No prior experience is needed, and all exercises will be tailored to each child’s ability level, ensuring a fun and accessible experience for everyone. This class is perfect for beginners who want to explore the basics of acrobatics while developing body awareness and building self-confidence.

This class is designed for young dancers who are ready to explore the basics of ballet in a fun and supportive environment. Beginning Ballet introduces children to fundamental ballet positions, movements, and terminology, such as pliés, relevés, and tendus. Through creative exercises and simple routines, students will improve balance, flexibility, coordination, and posture. Our experienced instructors will encourage each child to express themselves through movement while building strength and confidence. No prior ballet experience is needed—just a love for dance and a willingness to learn!

You can sign up for one month at a time or for the full 4-month session. After the final practice in April, the tumblers will showcase their skills in a grand finale performance for family and friends! Dancers will learn and practice techniques like pliés, tendus, jetés, and basic turns, all in a structured, encouraging environment. Our experienced instructors will help students develop flexibility, coordination, and self-discipline through both barre and center work. This interactive class is a wonderful way for parents and young children to bond while exploring movement and coordination together. Designed for toddlers with a caregiver, Parent and Me Tumbling introduces basic tumbling and motor skills through fun, age-appropriate activities. Children will practice simple rolls, balance, and basic jumps with the support and guidance of their parents and instructors, helping them develop body awareness, coordination, and confidence.

In each class, parents and toddlers will enjoy warm-up songs, guided activities, and gentle stretching to foster flexibility and balance. This playful, supportive environment encourages parent-child connection and sets a positive foundation for a lifetime of active play.

Youth Fit (Ages 10-14)

Participants will focus on balance, agility, coordination, speed, stamina, endurance, flexibility, athleticism, and core strength using a variety of movements, including functional fitness.

Class is held 2 times a week for 55 minutes during this 4-week session.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes they can work out in and close-toed shoes.

Youth Sports Conditioning (Ages 10-14)

This once or twice-a-week program is designed especially for youth.

Participants will focus on balance, agility, coordination, speed, stamina, endurance, flexibility, athleticism, and core strength using a variety of movements, including functional fitness a variety of movement and activities.

Class is held once or  2 times a week, (you choose!) Tuesday and/or Thursday and meet in the WMAC. Sessions run monthly.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes in which they can exercise and closed-toe fitness shoes.

Water bottles are required.

Please note the Weight Room is restricted to members 15 years and older.

60 minute classes are held at 9:30am on the first Saturday of every month, unless the first Saturday is a holiday.

Youth Strength Training is a 60 minute group session with Certified Personal Trainer where your child will learn the safe usage of fitness equipment and proper etiquette on the fitness floor.  This class is required for children 10-11 in order to exercise independently in designated fitness areas in the facility.  While not required for children 12-14, it is highly encouraged.

60 minute classes are held at 9:00am on the first and Third Saturday of every month, unless that Saturday is a holiday.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able work out independently in designated areas of the fitness floor. Please note the Weight Room is restricted to members 15 years and older.
