The Y offers programs for participants who aren’t quite ready to join a league but still that want to try new sports and activities. YMCA programs nurture the potential of 7 to 11 year olds by emphasizing fun, skills development, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. With many affordable early-learning sports and recreation programs, children have the chance to try various activities without long-term commitment or expense.

If you are pre-qualified for Financial Assistance, please note that some of our programs have minimum fees in order to cover costs of materials and supplies. This fee may be higher depending on your amount of assistance.

Rookies Basketball Camp (Ages 4-6)
Basketball camps are a great way to enhance current basketball skills or introduce young athletes to the sport who have never played. Our knowledgeable instructors will help participants become more proficient in dribbling, shooting, passing, as well as offensive and defensive plays in a fun, safe environment. We’ll teach players the rules of the game and will incorporate the YMCA character values of CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT, and RESPONSIBILITY in the lessons throughout the week. Players will be instructed through skills and drills and will end each day with a scrimmage!

Volleyball Camp (Ages 7-14)
A great way to work on your game! We offer players a fun, enjoyable, and educational environment! Our caring, skilled, and knowledgeable instructors will teach basic to intermediate techniques with 6 major skills: passing, setting, blocking, defense, serving, and attacking. We have designed this camp specifically with young players in mind and have modified our equipment, technique, skills, and games to make learning volleyball more fun! Our goal is to meet the needs of each individual player.

Players will grow their knowledge and skills of the game in a safe and exciting environment. Youth Soccer Camp (Ages 7-11)
Brush up on your soccer skills in this fun and welcoming environment. Campers will improve on their dribbling, passing and shooting skills while learning from our caring and knowledgeable staff. Players of all levels will improve their soccer skills while making new friends, learning healthy living habits and embracing the YMCA character values of CARING,HONESTY, RESPECT, and RESPONSIBILITY.
Players are required to bring a refillable water bottle and wear shin guards and cleats or other athletic shoes.
