Track & Field and Cross Country

Team Idaho was started in 1979 to provide a grass-roots opportunity for youth to participate in Track & Field. The first year the club had 15 kids. Today the club has over 600 participants. The goal of Team Idaho is to help participants at all levels improve their specific Track & Field skills, make new friends, and have fun.

We offer programs for Youth Cross Country, Summer Track & Field, Pole Vault Training and more.

Team Idaho Club is a USATF (club # 7) and AAU sanctioned club (Club code: W37TYY)

We offer the following programs:

Summer Track (Youth/Teen/Masters/Advanced): June-July

Youth XC- September-October

Running Club- October-December

Advanced Winter Track- November-February

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE. At the Y, no one is denied service due to the inability to pay. Funds for Financial Assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. Learn more here!

If you are pre-qualified for Financial Assistance, please note that some of our programs have minimum fees in order to cover costs of materials and supplies. This fee may be higher depending on your amount of assistance.

Youth Cross Country

Youth Cross Country is a program for kids 6-13yrs old who enjoy running
and want to improve their abilities. The XC meets cover various
types of terrain. Running drills and an emphasis on flexibility
will help all the young runners improve their running technique
and coordination for all sports!

Monday/Wednesdays 5:30p-6:30p at the following locations:

Hillsdale (Behind South Y)

Hobble Creek (Behind West Y)

Camels Back Park

Meets are every Wednesday starting on 9/14-10/19
