The Blue Marlins are a recreational swim team with an emphasis on stroke development and aerobic exercise. Participants will continue their growth as a swimmer by increasing their endurance through age/skill appropriate workouts in a fun environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Passed a level 4 in swim lessons OR Beginner swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards Freestyle and Backstroke

While we do not require a try-out for the team, it is up to the coaches discretion to suggest lessons for any participant who may need additional stroke development.

This program is for age 16+ swimmer who are looking to increase their technical swim skills and endurance. The coach will provide workouts and technique based feedback on how to improve your strokes to be more a more competitive swimmer. This program is excellent for adults who are training for triathlons, ex-competitive swimmers looking to get back into the pool, and anyone who knows the competitive strokes and wants to incorporate swimming into their workout routine.

Prerequisites:

• Must be able to swim AT LEAST 100 yards of crawl stroke and backstroke
• Must be familiar with how to swim breaststroke and butterfly

If you do not meet these pre-requisites, please register for our Adult Swim Lessons.

• Thursday & Friday 6:45pm-7:30pm
• Saturday & Sunday 10:30am-11:15am
  • (no practice April 4th, 10th, 11th, 12th)

This adult program (ages 18+) is for adults who are looking to increase their technical swim skills and endurance. Dynamic morning swim program for adults 18+ led by a certified swim instructor!  This structured workout is designed to boost your cardiovascular fitness, build strength, and improve stroke technique – whether you’re training for a race, cross-training, or simply swimming for health and wellness.

Workouts are tailored to a range of skill levels, with options for endurance, speed, and skill refinement.  Each session includes a warm-up, main set, and cooldown, with feedback and motivation throughout.

Prerequisites:

• Must be able to swim AT LEAST 100 yards of crawl stroke

All registrations submitted by April 30th, 2026 will be guaranteed their chosen t-shirt size. All registrations after this date will be able to choose from a variety of sizes of team shirts. There will also be opportunities for family members to volunteer at meets.

Ages 5-8 must be able to swim 25 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke. Ages 8–12 must be able to swim 50 yards freestyle and backstroke. Ages 13+ must swim 50 yards freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, and 25 yards butterfly.

There are no try-outs for the team, but any participant who is unable to perform the mentioned requirements may be asked to switch to our lesson program until they are prepared for the swim team, at which time they can later join.
