Music Therapy

Learn about a variety of sounds and musical instruments in this 50-minute class led by a Board Certified Music Therapist! Participants will focus on individual and group goals, such as social and emotional skills while exploring a variety of sounds and musical instruments.

About the instructor: Samantha became a board-certified music therapist and a certified Habilitative Intervention Professional after completing her Bachelor of Science degree at Utah State University and her internship at Helping Hands Center for Special Needs. In 2018 she became a neurologic music therapist. In 2020 she completed her training to become a Positive Discipline Parent Educator and completed her Master of Music with a specialization in Music Therapy degree. Samantha’s mission is to help parents, children, and adults develop deeper relationships through the use of musical interventions and positive discipline strategies.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE. At the Y, no one is denied service due to the inability to pay. Funds for Financial Assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. Learn more here!

If you are pre-qualified for Financial Assistance, please note that some of our programs have minimum fees in order to cover costs of materials and supplies. This fee may be higher depending on your amount of assistance.
