3v3 Basketball
The summer 3 on 3 basketball league gives youth of all abilities and backgrounds the chance to play a fast pace and more engaged game of basketball. Players will get more touches, shots, passes, and opportunities to improve their game.
AGES:
- 9-14 years
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
- Teams are capped at 5 players and fill fast on a first come, first serve basis. We highly encourage early registration to ensure your child is able to play.
- Players can register as a free agent or with other players. When registering to form a team, request each player who will be on the team of 4-5. Any teams with less than four players will be given a free agent. Free agents will be placed together to form teams of 4-5 within their age division.
- Player and coach requests are not guaranteed but we will do our best to honor all requests
- Coach requests are honored until a team has 5 players.

- You can still register for any location but please note that your player will likely not be placed with other players from their school and may practice farther away from your neighborhood.
- A late registration fee of $30 will be added to registration fees 5 weeks prior to the start of the program for any divisions that still have space available on teams.
- The Y reserves the right to close registration at any time if teams are full.
- After the late registration date, we will do our best to places players with teammates from their school but players will be placed on a team with space nearest to their school.
- If your desired branch is not available for a certain age group, the teams at that branch are full and are not taking further registrations. You can continue with registration through the available branch(es) and will be placed on a team based out of that branch as close to your home school as possible.
2024 SEASON SCHEDULE INFORMATION:
- Practices will start the week of June 10th
- Games: 2 games per night on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 5-8:30pm at the South Meridian Tomlinson Y
- End of season tournament will be the last week of the season. End of season tournament will be a single elimination.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE. At the Y, no one is denied service due to the inability to pay. Funds for Financial Assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. Learn more here!
If you are pre-qualified for Financial Assistance, please note that some of our programs have minimum fees in order to cover costs of materials and supplies. This fee may be higher depending on your amount of assistance.

Players who register before the registration deadline will be placed on their current school team unless there are too few registered players. The following criteria will be used to form teams from players that register prior to the registration deadline:

- Or combination of nearby schools
- Teams are formed by the Y and will initially be started 4 weeks before the beginning of the program. Players who register before the registration deadline will be placed on their current school team unless there are too few registered players. The following criteria will be used to form teams from players that register prior to the registration deadline:
- Practice Information
- The volunteer coach of your player’s team will choose what day, time and location for practices and will communicate that information to the team before the beginning of practices. In divisions that are smaller, teams may be made from multiple schools, so practices may be a little further from where you are located.
- Teams will practice for one hour once per week
- Equipment
- Players will be responsible for bringing a basketball to practice.
- Women’s size ball, 28.5″
- Players will wear athletic clothing that they can easily move around and be active in.
- Athletic type shoes that are non-marking, as we don’t want to damage courts.
- Appropriate shoes would be basketball shoes, running shoes, tennis shoes etc.
- Players will be responsible for bringing a basketball to practice.
