West Boise Y Kids (Ages 5-12)
Now Enrolling School-Age Child Care!
As Idaho’s largest child care provider, we provide thousands of children the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Our licensed Y Teachers and staff engage children in a variety of academic enrichment activities, social-emotional learning, emotion management, healthy snacks, physical activity, STEM education, art education, outdoor play, literacy development, community field trips, swimming, and more.
Our positive, safe environments will help your child make new friends, enjoy more physical activity, develop new skills, do better in school, and live with caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
As licensed childcare facility, our School-Age Child Care follows all state and city requirements and health and safety guidelines.

School's Out Camp
🎉 School’s Out. The Y Is In! 🎉
When school is out—whether it’s for a holiday break or a teacher in-service day—the YMCA has you covered!
Give your child a fun, safe, and supportive place to spend the day with engaging activities, academic enrichment, and caring staff while you keep your regular schedule.
📍 Location: West Boise YMCA Child Development Center (12650 W Bridger Street, Ste 120, Boise, ID)
🧒 Ages: 5–12 years
🕖 Hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
🍎 Breakfast snack and afternoon snack are provided.
💲School Day Out Rates:
Before/After School Participants: $28/day (attends weekly)
*Before/After School Participants must attend at least 1 day per week regularly throughout the school year to receive participant discount. Must attend West Boise Y Kids, Eagle Y Kids, Frontier Y Kids or Ustick Y Kids to get $28/day rate.
*Non-Participants must register under the community West Boise Y School’s Out Program here, LINK. It is $85/per day per child.
*Payments are due on the Monday prior to the School’s Out date of service.
