School’s Out. The Y Is In.

School is out, whether it is a holiday break or a teacher in-service. The Y is in to provide a safe, supportive environment with academic enrichment activities for youth. We operate School’s Out Camp from 7am-6pm to allow parents the most flexibility to meet their needs and schedules. Breakfast snack and afternoon snack are provided. Youth bring their own lunch. Youth participating in before and/or after school program receive discounted pricing.

Let’s Move Out Side & Bike! Registration Open February 2nd! 

The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is teaming up with Safe Routes to School to facilitate Let’s Move Outside and Bike Camp this summer! Join us for 5 full days of riding around the valley and enjoying exciting physical activities outdoors. 

This camp is perfect for youth who love riding bikes, want to learn more about biking and the outdoors, and who want to have fun adventures. Campers will bike to various destinations across the valley, including Eagle Island, Camelsback Park, Boise River Greenbelt, and many more. We’ll stop along the way for fun activities, including fishing, disc golf, geocaching, pool time, and more. 

Each day we will increase the mileage as campers adjust to biking all day. We stop regularly to take breaks, hydrate, and snack. Youth learn how to use the city bus, with passes provided by Valley Regional Transit. This allows us to ride long rides one way, with a cool ride back to the Y in the heat of the summer. 

We look forward to exploring the valley this summer!

Summer Specialty Camps. Registration Opens Feb 2!

Bits, Bytes, and Bots Camp is a coding and robotics camp where kids explore how computers “think,” how instructions turn into actions, and how machines follow commands. Campers will learn the basics of coding, build simple circuits, and experiment with real robots. 

Board Game Bonanza Camp is a fun, interactive program where kids explore the world of tabletop games while building important skills like teamwork, critical thinking, and sportsmanship. Each day includes group play, game tutorials, and opportunities to design their own games. 

Brushes & Beyond Art Camp is a 2D art camp where kids explore painting, drawing, printmaking, and more to bring their creativity to life. Through fun projects and guided lessons, campers will experiment with different tools and learn about color, composition, and artistic expression. 

Creative Kids Art Camp is a colorful, hands-on experience for young artists! Campers will explore a variety of art forms while learning new techniques and expressing their creativity. 

Critter Camp is a fun, educational experience for kids who are curious about animals and nature. Through engaging activities like games, crafts, stories, and more, campers learn about different types of animals, their habitats, behaviors, and the roles they play in the world. 

Curious Chemistry Camp is a chance to dive into the exciting world of chemistry through fun, hands-on experiments. Campers will examine real-world science and learn lab skills as they explore chemical reactions and more!  

Dino Discovery Camp is an exciting, hands-on adventure for kids who love dinosaurs! Campers will step into the world of paleontology as they dig for fossils, build dino models, and learn about the amazing creatures that roamed the Earth millions of years ago. 

Epic Eats Cooking Camp is designed for kids who already feel at home in the kitchen and are ready to elevate their skills! Campers dive into new techniques, bold recipes, and creative challenges that go beyond the basics—like making fresh pasta and other familiar favorites from scratch. 

Kid Kitchen Cooking Camp is the perfect introduction to the kitchen for young chefs just starting their culinary journey. Campers will learn kitchen basics, practice reading and following recipes, and whip up delicious dishes. 

Minecraft Camp is an exciting, educational program where kids will explore creativity, teamwork, and problem solving. Through Minecraft gameplay and themed, screen-free activities, campers will learn basic coding, digital citizenship, game strategy, and boost their creativity! 

Sculpt & Shape Art Camp is a 3D creative experience where kids bring their ideas to life through sculpture, ceramics, mixed-media, and more! Campers will move beyond flat surfaces to dive into the world of three-dimensional art through guided lessons and open-ended creation.  

Sleuth Squad Camp is a fun camp for kids to step into the shoes of a junior detective and crime scene investigator! Perfect for curious minds, this camp sparks curiosity and sharpens problem-solving skills through exciting mystery-solving activities. 

STEM Camp is an exciting, hands-on program for kids who love to ask questions, build things, and explore how the world works! Campers will dive into fun experiments, challenges, and games while learning to think like real engineers. 

Sweets & Treats Cooking Camp is a delightfully fun experience where young chefs learn to whip up delicious desserts and tasty treats! From cakes to cookies to no-bake goodies, each day features hands-on cooking & baking, fun food-themed games, and creative crafts.
