The YMCA offers a variety of programs aimed at building relationships, connecting with your community, and creating a sense of belonging within the YMCA community.
Community Connections will offer opportunities to learn new skills, increase participation in programs of interest, and assist with building relationships with others on this journey. Community Connection type programs consist of life-long learning opportunities, fun and games, social programming, and ways to get involved with volunteer opportunities and clubs.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE. At the Y, no one is denied service due to the inability to pay. Funds for Financial Assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. Learn more here!
If you are pre-qualified for Financial Assistance, please note that some of our programs have minimum fees in order to cover costs of materials and supplies. This fee may be higher depending on your amount of assistance.

ForeverWell Ambassador Volunteer Program
Support is the common thread connecting all the different stories of impact that unfold at the Y. Whether it’s the gift of time, talent, or treasure, we are grateful for all the support we get from our community.
The Y offers a wide variety of activities that center on helping active older adults engage their mind and body through recreational programming. Our ForeverWell Ambassadors are instrumental in achieving this goal and making a difference in the lives of our aging population throughout the Treasure Valley. Our ForeverWell Ambassadors connect people to people, people to resources, and ensure our membership continues to have a sense of belonging, feel connected to their community, as well as staying mentally and physically active.
We are seeking 5-7 ForeverWell Ambassadors at each of our Branch Locations. Includes Downtown YMCA, West Boise YMCA, Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA and Caldwell YMCA. Follow the link below to inquire.
